4th of July Weekend at the Cape

On Wednesday, July 3rd, I got out of work early at around noon and had a four-day holiday weekend to look forward to. I would spend the majority of the weekend at my grandparents’ house in Cape Cod with parents, brother, and uncle. On Thursday, we went to the beach in Dennis. It was a perfect beach day and the water was even warm for a change. That night, we went into downtown Chatham to walk around the different shops. We hit up the candy store as usual, saw cutouts of sharks that were planted in front of the library, and explored some interesting stores. Later that night, we went to the beach to watch the fireworks display which was amazing. The next day we went to the Cape Cod brewery, and got to try free samples of different flavors of Cape Cod beer. After that, we went to the mall in Hyannis for lunch and walked around the different stores there for about an hour. After arriving back home, we made our second trip to the beach, this time to go sailing. It was another perfect day for the beach, and perfect weather for sailing. On Saturday, we relaxed during the day, and went out to the movies to see The Lone Ranger that night, which was pretty good. Finally, on Sunday I arrived back in my house in Boston. Overall, it was a fun and relaxing weekend.
