Movie Review: Iron Man 3 (2013)

iron man 3

Iron Man 3 is the last installment in the trilogy, and features Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) as Iron Man once again trying to save the world from evil. This time he must take on scientific mastermind Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who has created a device to transform people into fire creatures that can regenerate body parts. Iron Man must figure out how to take down the terrorist that is the face of the operation while saving Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) from the clutches of Killian.

What I liked

Robert Downey Jr. once again nailed the part of Tony Stark. This movie was action packed, featured all of the classic characters from the series, and had well-timed humor throughout. The battles were epic and suspenseful and kept you entertained throughout the entire movie. I also thought the ending was a good way to wrap up the trilogy as well.

What I didn’t like

There wasn’t too much that I didn’t like in this movie. The only complaint that I could have is that the movie was a little too long, partly because the battle scenes at the end were probably a little bit longer than they needed to be. Other than that there wasn’t too much I disliked.

This movie is consistently getting great reviews, with a 7.8 on IMDB, a 78% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and an 84% from the audience.

Again, I thought this was a great movie and a great finale to the Iron Man trilogy. My final rating is a 4.5/5.
