Jeff Green of the Boston Celtics has been one of the best, if not the best, story of the NBA season. Green began his career in Oklahoma City after leaving Georgetown his junior year to enter in the 2007 NBA draft. After playing very well for the Thunder for his first few seasons, Green was traded to Celtics in February 2011. He initially struggled, not fitting into the offense very well as the Celtics were dropped in the second round of the playoffs. The following season Green underwent open heart surgery and missed the entire season, with the rest of his career in doubt. Not only did he come back this season, but he has played all 71 games and has been a key part in leading the Celtics in their chase for the playoffs. He is averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 27 minutes off the bench this season.
Highlights of the season for Green include monster dunks
His 43 point game vs the Miami Heat
And his dramatic game winners
Jeff Green is truly an inspiring comeback story, and at 26 is only in position to get better and better.
