North Korea Releases Anti-American Propaganda Film

It is no secret that North Korea is not a huge fan of the United States. For the last couple of years they have been testing out nuclear weapons and have threatened to use them against the U.S. However, this time their threat took the form of an interesting propaganda film that was recently released. The film uses the song “We Are The World” by Michael Jackson, and footage from the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The footage shows what appears to be New York City being blown up, indicating that North Korea is trying to send a message to the United States.

I’m not completely sure what to think of this film. It seems strange right off the bat, but I also think it needs to be taken seriously as well. North Korea has been an enemy of the United States for a while, and it would not surprise anyone if they took the next step and attacked the U.S. However, the question is if they are legitimately planning to do something or whether it is just meaningless threats at this point. Either way, I think the current Obama administration needs to make an effort to reach out and try to communicate directly with North Korea.
